Nomination process for Honour List of Green Lit for Children

Green Lit Fest will invite nominations for the Honour List of Green Literature for Children from a diversity of independent ‘reading champions’ within this space, ranging from booksellers, library educators, teachers and other children’s book enthusiasts to come up with an initial long-list of titles.

These will be further whetted by experts and advisors, before a jury reviews the entire selection and announces the final honour list in December 2021.

Since front lists are always a challenge for publishers, for the inaugural edition, we will be looking at books published in 2019 and 2020.

The Honour List of Green Literature for Children seeks to recognise the best of children’s literature on the environmental theme. It aims to curate a definitive list that honours the vast diversity of titles in this space. Fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, picture books and chapter books – the list will cater to budding naturalists of every age and taste.
